the adventures of kim and alexis

I’ve been lucky enough to have a few days off work between this week and last.  Last week, my friend Jalisa and I drove Alexis down to Utah.  She will be staying with Cole until the 19th, so I will have some free time.  Exciting!  We just stayed overnight in Salt Lake, did a little bit of shopping, some wandering, and a lot of driving around.  All in all, a good time.  It was nice to be back in town, and a little strange to realize there were things (mountains, actual city, school) that I missed.  But, it was good to come home to Boise.  As much as I never thought I’d say that.

I came home Thursday, worked Friday and Saturday, and am now in Seattle visiting my friends Kim and Winny.  I haven’t seen them in a while, or even really had time to myself in a long time so I’m enjoying it.  Winny even got me to watch the Superbowl (I fell asleep for probably all of the 3rd quarter).  My plans as of right now are pretty low key, just enjoy getting out of town, catch up on some homework, and have a mini vacation.   Yay!

So what to say?  I’m fairly certain everyone reading this has had at least some amount of contact with me since my last post.  Well, for major updates… is it now 2010!  We made it through and had a wonderful time over the holidays.  Alexis is growing like crazy.  She knows all sorts of strange words that I know I’m not teaching her… and am not sure I love her using in conversation.  Like “umbrella”, and “no Mom, you’re crazy”.  But, things are going well.  I’ll put up pictures soon.  I promise to do better.
